In the Ukraine, the rights to the use of minority languages have ceased as no legislation explicitly regulating the language use has remained in force after the abolition of the Language Act, said Mihály Tóth, senior research fellow at the V. M. Kerensky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in an interview with the Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday.

The Institute for Hungarian Language Strategy condemns this move as a law guaranteeing fundamental language rights was repealed.
