This year the 7th annual Diaspora Council meeting and the sixteenth session of the Hungarian Permanent Conference (Máért) were held on 9-10 November at the Castle Garden Bazaar in Budapest. The Institute for Hungarian Language Strategy (MANYSI) was represented by Attila Tóth, director at both events.  

This year 93 leaders and representatives of organizations worldwide, including Attila Tóth, the director of our Institute participated at the Diaspora Council meeting (compared to the 75 organisations in 2016). The Minority SafePack European citizens' initiative of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) was presented at the Diaspora Council meeting and the Máért session.
